Woman falls into mall water fountain while texting

Texting is a distraction that can impair your driving abilities.  As we’ve reported in the past, people who send text messages while driving are six times more likely to get involved in a car accident.  Some would think that texting and walking is less dangerous. It might be the case, but it’s certainly not without risks.

Recently, a shopping mall security surveillance video has caught a woman so distracted by her phone that she fell head first into the fountain.  The footage shows the woman from two different angles, and then getting up like nothing happened.

Last year, a research from the University of Utah found that less than 2.5% of the population are “supertaskers”, meaning they could carry out multiple tasks at once.  We think this young lady does not fit in this category.
